The Medical Faculty of the Goethe-University in Frankfurt am Main in connection with the Initiative of the state of Hesse to develop scientific-economical Excellency “Landesoffensive zur Entwicklung Wissenschaftlich-ökonomischer Exzellenz (LOEWE)” invites applications for professorships for its newly established LOEWE Center for Cell and Gene Therapy.

The LOEWE Center, financed by the state of Hesse aims to develop novel cell and gene therapy approaches for cardiovascular, oncological and hematological diseases. It includes experimental and clinical Departments of the Goethe University’s Medical Faculty, the Georg-Speyer-Haus, Institute for Biomedical Research, Frankfurt, the Max-Planck-Institute for Heart and Lung Research, Bad Nauheim, the Paul-Ehrlich-Institute, Langen, and the German Red Cross Blood Service, Frankfurt. The participating Departments have a strong background in basic and clinical science regarding cell and gene therapy research, and are looking for additional young and innovative faculty members with complementary expertise.
